Lenovo announces a new headset in Enterprise VR Push. The device looks to create an easy-to-use, self-contained VR ecosystem for businesses. Lenovo intends that the product be used for tasks like employee training and virtual collaboration. Pricing will be disclosed closer to the product’s availability date, predicted to be early 2023.
Walmart launches immersive experiences in Roblox. The retailer presents the launch as an ambitious move into the metaverse, with two online worlds created. The virtual lobbies will contain branded mini-games and experiences intended for younger audiences as Walmart begins to investigate this market. 
Nreal Air AR Glasses have hit the US MarketNow available on Amazon, the Nreal Air is brought to us along with a newly unveiled adapter which allows for connection to IOS devices and the Nintendo Switch. The glasses retail for $379, with the adapter costing $59.    
Apple CEO Tim Cook urges for diversity in tech firms. In an exclusive BBC interview Tim claimed there were “no good excuses” for the lack of women in the tech sector, while also hailing AR and the concept of the Metaverse as “profound”.

VR Simulation training provider VRAI announces €3.4 million funding. The Dubin based firm looks to use the funding to help address a skill gap in the European renewable energy workforce, and tackle the global energy crisis.
AmazeVR raises $17 million to create VR concert immersive music experiences. The Los Angeles-Based virtual concert platform is backing the growth of virtual shows, a now common industry sight post-pandemic.
Fashion stealth startup Seamm announces $1.7 million funding. The company, part of The Lydian Group, looks to offer brands a route to the metaverse with digital twins of existing fashion items.
Keep an eye on
‘Meta Pay’ rebrand rolls out in nearly 200 countries. Meta has renamed ‘Facebook Pay’ to ‘Meta Pay’ in a move which is deemed the first step to a digital wallet for the Metaverse. 
Headset Sales to grow to $20 Billion in 2033, says IDTechEx. In the latest industry report, the research group forecasts a demand driven by the changing role of computing and connectivity.  
UNICEF’s NFT Experiment connects developing nations to the Internet. The ‘Giga Initiative’ involved a public NFT sale raising 240 ETH, valued at $700,000, with funds used to connect schools in developing nations to the World Wide Web. 
Vogue China launches Vogue Meta-Ocean Experience. The Metaverse experience incorporates the work of 24 artists and features 3D sculptures modelling digital fashion pieces. 
Meta NFT integration has been finalised. Facebook and Instagram users with supported digital wallets in the US can now display their NFT collections on both platforms.
